PURLs

Personalized URLs / internet micro sites

What are PURLs?

This image shows an example of a PURL, or personalized URL

PURL stands for personalized URL or internet micro sites that are unique to each individual in a database (such as http://bann bankingsolutions.com/ Mike.Bann, where a landing page on the internet is hosted just for Mike Bann).  In this case the postcard from us allows Mike Bann to visit a brief survey based on his profile where he can reveal his wants and needs in exchange for a benefit of free products or services.  His responses are recorded and future messages are automatically sent to Mike via email and direct mail as the result of his participation.  PURLs also make it possible to measure response rates and to compare results of different test groups.  All data is collected on a remote dashboard so reports are available to view or download 24/7. You can employ this same process for a list of unknown names by using a GURL or a generic URL.
