DO GOOD & SAVE MONEY with this LESS is MORE product

All mailers are looking for ways to save money and still promote environmentalism!

ANNOUNCING a new line of reusable envelopes that will SAVE money while benefiting the environment. Account statements, monthly billings, donation requests, membership solicitations, renewals, and more can be sent in a single reusable ecoEnvelope.

Technology has improved so much in our lives yet we all still use the same envelopes from generations ago! Sending one envelope instead of 2 is just good business. By eliminating the reply envelope you save on envelope and related mailing costs. ecoEnvelopes are easier to use for your customers and position you as an environmental leader. A real win/win/win for you, your customer and the environment.

So why haven’t we heard about this before? Well the technology has been around for awhile but the last thing your envelope manufacturer wants to do is sell fewer products. What incentive did they have to sell or market a product like this? None, in fact they still don’t. That is why ecoEnvelopes, an environmental organization has developed these products and why Bann Business Solutions, a sales distribution company have partnered with them to bring you this message.

Now you too can SEND THE RIGHT MESSAGE with every envelope. Reusing an envelope might seem like a small step to reduce your footprint on the environment but it is something we can easily do. Through our combined efforts we can have a huge impact and it all starts with more opportunities to make responsible purchasing decisions.

ecoEnvelopes were designed with large mailers in mind but now there are opportunities for even some smaller and medium size mailers to also incorporate their usage. USPS approved, ecoEnvelopes are designed to run seamlessly thru existing high speed inserters and postal equipment. Pitney Bowes, Bell & Howell, Kern, Mastercraft, Neopost, Opex, and others.

ecoEnvelopes offer unique marketing opportunities to position your organization as one that believes in “doing well while doing good”. You can use some of your saving to print trans-promotional information on the open space of the outgoing envelope. Our patch envelopes offers a unique patch which when torn off reveals the return address, coupon, survey, or other promotional/remittance concept. All of that with the valuable original contact information on the reverse side.

ecoEnvelopes are easier to use and simpler to open than traditional envelopes and use 50% less paper. They are made exclusively on FSC (Forest Service Certified) or SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) papers with up to 100% PCW (Post Consumer Waste). Based on the calculations from the independent Center for Environmental Innovation, each million ecoEnvelopes mailed will result in the reduction of 37,000 lbs of carbon emissions, 250 million BTU’s of energy and saves 23 tons of wood.

Traditionally going green meant spending more, in many cases you can spend up to 400% more on a green printed product. With the ecoEnvelope you will be eliminating the need for a return envelope and the cost of one envelope is going to be less then the cost of two. How much depends on your given specifications but this is another example where less (paper) is equal to more (savings).

Thomas Friedman, the MN born New York Times columnist and author was quoted saying “Green is the new Red, White and Blue”. Regardless of your political or environmental position it can’t be argued that ecoEnvelopes is good business.

For any business the bottom line is always either does it reduce cost? And or can we market it? The resounding answer on both questions is YES!

Big Fat Fitness Lies (Less is More!)

By Matt Furey

Hold it.

You may be exercising and eating all wrong. You may have been led to believe a lot of very stupid and untrue things about what it takes to get fit.

Things like:

• Running several miles per day is the key to getting fit.

• Doing a ton of long, slow distance (LSD) is absolutely necessary.

• Lifting the heaviest weights you possibly can will turn you into a human fireplug.

• Eating five or six times per day cranks up your metabolism.

• Training one part of your body today and another part tomorrow prevents overtraining.

• Working out only 2-3 times per week is the fastest way to make progress.

My friend, there are pieces of truth in all these lies.

For example: Long, slow cardio may make you feel good – but if you want to “STEP UP” your metabolism, you’re far better off doing a very hard, very vigorous workout that calls upon all your physical and mental reserves. You’re better off with a short workout that will never get easy – no matter how often you do it.

Consider the sprinter. His body is lean, muscular, and powerful. But it is rare to find a long-distance cardio person who is well muscled. He may be lean, but there’s no power. Not only that, but after a period of time he may end up suffering from hip, knee, ankle, and lower-back pain. Why? All the pounding on the joints. It takes a tremendous toll on the body.

Instead of the long, slow, dull approach to fitness, consider the following five ways to a Metabolism Makeover.

1. Begin doing vigorous full-body bodyweight exercises that force you to lose control of your breathing. If you aren’t getting out of breath when you train, your system is NOT being forced to adapt and change. The harder you are breathing, the more shock to the system. The more “shock” there is, the greater the shake-up in your metabolism.

2. Instead of running or bicycling several miles per day for cardio exercise, train like a cheetah. Run as hard as you can, at full blast, for as long as you can. Run with all your might. When finished, you’ll be gasping for oxygen. And this gasping is what turns on the fat-burning furnace within.

3. Practice deep breathing. The deeper you breathe, the more oxygen in your system. The more oxygen in your system, the faster your metabolism. Don’t just get your deep breathing from vigorous exercise. Get if from the act of deep breathing itself – done all day long.

4. Eat plenty of fiber-rich, water-content foods while avoiding starchy foods most of the time.

5. Change the mental picture you have of yourself. As you see yourself in your mind’s eye, so you become.

Follow this approach to getting fit fast and you’ll catch the eyes of everyone when you walk down the street. Others will instantly sense that something is different about you. And you’ll know why.

Mike’s Lone PEEK Summit!!

Description: Mike at Big Sky

In keeping with this months theme of “less is more” I want to tie it in with one of my favorite hobbies, GOLF! While I know that all of our readers may not play golf there are still lessons learned I’d like to share.   Minnesota has the highest percentage of golfers per capita in the USA most likely because of our desire to be outside after a long winter. I was introduced to golf at the age of 12. I started as a caddy at Southview Country Club in West Saint Paul. Caddying not only put money in my pocket, it also taught me a lot about selling, marketing and dealing with different kinds of people. These are skills I carry with me today. Caddying also led to my being awarded the Evans Scholarship to the University of Minnesota. Golf taught me at an early age that work could and should be fun!

Although I no longer play everyday I’m happy to get out when I can. Marriage, kids, and work will do that to the best of us! Despite the reduced frequency I have still managed to keep my handicap between 0 and 5. Some of that comes from good genes but I think some of it comes from knowing what to work on and when. Most golfers spend way too much time working on their long game and little on their short game. Whenever I do get a chance to practice I make sure its 90% short and 10% long game. At home I will take a few minutes at a time looking at my swing in a mirror. It is amazing the things you can see and pick up by doing this easy exercise. I hope these 2 simple tips help your game. Even though I now play and practice less the game adds more pleasure then ever. Even if my scores do go up!

Below are some “links” (pun intended) that offer some great deals on golf this summer. I hope you have plenty of opportunities to get out and play this season. Golf is called a game of honor. It is our honor to serve you, the great clients of Bann Business Solutions!
